Where we collect personal information from
- Information you give us when you enquire about our services
- When you speak to us on the telephone
- When you use our website

Purposes and lawful bases for processing personal information
We hold only personally identifiable information necessary to enable us to fulfil our contract with you or any enquiries prior to contract.

We use the information you provide us in order to fulfil a contract between us and you.
We only retain your information as long as is necessary. After this it is destroyed according to a regular process.
We may occasionally need to pass-on personal information to a sub-contractor in order to complete, for example, a long-distance move. In this case:
- We only pass-on the minimum information required
- We take care to establish that the contractor will take due care with the data including it’s destruction once no-longer required.
- Transparency:- we communicate this process via our Privacy Statement and in individual emails to customers where relevant
Some information is retained to fulfil legal requirements, for example by HMRC for financial administration purposes.

We may ask you if we can publish a review by you on our website movingfurniture.co.uk. We will only do so with your explicit consent, in writing, and will remove the review within 12 months of publication. You will be identified only in the form, e.g. "Mrs H, Helston".
During your move we’d like to take photos of ourselves working in the context of your property, for possible publication on our website and FaceBook page. We take care not to include anything which might identify you personally and we want you to be able to make an informed decision which we will of course respect. We will seek your explicit consent, in writing, before publishing any photos. Photographs will only remain on our website for a maximum of twelve months.

The right to be informed
This privacy statement aims to provide you with clear and concise information about what we do with your personal data.
The right of access
You have the right to access any personal information we hold.

We will ask for information to prove your identity before any personal information is released to you.
We do not charge a fee for providing you with information we hold about you.
We have one month from the date of receipt of your request to provide you with the information.
The right to rectification

The right to restrict processing

The right to complain to the data protection regulator
We’d like the chance to resolve any complaints you have, however you also have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator (the "ICO") about how we have used your personal data.

We have comprehensive, multi-layered security procedures and preocesses in-place in order to protect your information during transmission to us via our website and while it is stored on our systems. These include but are not limited to physical security, endpoint-protection and strong encryption.
Retention and destruction of information
We will retain your personal information only as long as necessary while we are providing services to you. We will also retain your personal information to fulfil legal requirements. In any event, we won’t retain your personal information for longer than seven years.

- Where we are required to do under a contract
